What 277 motorists have told Main Roads about tow truck drivers

Hundreds of motorists in a Main Roads department hotline condemned “shark” tow truck operators from Fortitude Valley to the Gold Coast, who quickly tow away cars as soon as they are illegally parked, threatened the drivers and forced motorists to pay more than $500, or $600 – and even up to $1000 – to have their cars returned.
